FC Cologne sporting director Jorg Schmadtke unleashed his inner schoolboy this weekend when, just after Hoffenheim scored a 90th minute equalizer against Cologne, he threw gum at Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann.

Yes you read that right. Gum. Like, the thing you chew in your mouth that either makes your breath smell better or allows you to blow bubbles with it.

This wasn't just any gum. This was what we in elementary school would refer to as "ABC gum."

A 21-year-old who was serving as a makeshift defender in the most important league match of the season, Kimmich hardly put a foot wrong.
