BOCHUM, Germany - Champions Bayern Munich demolished hosts VfL Bochum 7-0 on Sunday, with new signing Sadio Mané scoring twice, to maintain their perfect start to the season.

The Bavarians are two points clear at the top with nine points from three league games, and have now scored a league-record 15 goals in their three games even though top striker Robert Lewandowski left this season to join Barcelona.

On Sunday they went on a first-half rampage, scoring four times in 38 minutes to kill off the game.

Jordan Pefok is loving life with his new Bundesliga club Union Berlin. Pefok scored a goal and picked up an assist in Union’s 2-1 victory vs. RB Leipzig on Saturday.

With nine successive Serie A titles followed by two campaigns where Champions League qualification seemed a shallow silver lining, Juventus’ fall from grace has been clear to see in recent years. This summer has seen several big names depart Turin, and the Bianconeri will be hard-pressed to find adequate replacements in order to once again fight for the Scudetto.

Timo Werner has returned to RB Leipzig and only needed 36 minutes to find the back of the net. Leipzig tied FC Köln 2-2 on Saturday and it was Werner who scored the opening goal.

Werner completed his transfer back to Leipzig from Chelsea on Tuesday for around $30 million. Four days later he’s taking shots 30 yards away from goal.

USMNT hopeful Jordan Pefok made his competitive debut for Union Berlin on Monday, scoring what will surely be one of the most memorable goals of the striker’s career. The Jordan Pefok goal, which came in the 64th minute of Union Berlin’s 2-0 DFB-Pokal victory, was taken excellently and will surely excite Union and USMNT fans alike.
