Wales manager Rob Page confirmed that Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has been placed on standby for upcoming matches against Gibraltar and Croatia.

He scored twice in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Crewe Alexandra ahead of Tuesday's scoreless draw against Mansfield Town.

10 players whose reputation tanked during the World Cup

Wed, 7 Dec 2022 - 12:10

The lasting memories of World Cups should be the celebrations of football — the glorious goals, the mesmerizing skills, the feel-good stories.

Iran defeats Wales with two stoppage time goals to throw group B in total chaos

Fri, 25 Nov 2022 - 05:55

The Iran national team proved to the world the talent it possesses with an incredible 2-0 victory vs. Wales on Friday. Iran’s goals came in the 99th and 101st minutes after dominating the Dragons all game.

The Wales national team looked atrocious, disjointed and unlike themselves as they were completely outplayed against Iran. Iran hit both posts in the game, forced great saves out of Welsh goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey (who was shown a red card in the 86th minute) and found the win at the end.

Tim Weah scores brilliantly as the United States ties Wales

Mon, 21 Nov 2022 - 15:03

3,065 days removed from elimination at the hands of Belgium in 2014, the United States began its World Cup campaign with a heartbreaking 1-1 draw against Wales. USA player ratings vs. Wales: A tale of two halves

Mon, 21 Nov 2022 - 14:36

To beat Wales to open its World Cup campaign, scoring twice was always going to be necessary for the United States. Why? Because even if he did absolutely nothing for 89 minutes, you knew Gareth Bale was going to score in the 90th.

The U.S. got its first in a sensational opening 45 minutes, but that second goal never came as Wales gained the ascendency for large portions of the second half. The inevitable moment finally arrived in the 82nd minute after Walker Zimmerman fouled Bale in the area, and the 33-year-old came up clutch from the spot.
