Club America vs. Morelia will be a game to remember for Miguel Herrera and fans of Las Águilas. 

On Tuesday night, Club América hosted Monarcas Morelia at Estadio Azteca.

With a super-busy schedule drawing near, Miguel 'Piojo' Herrera will need to move his players around in order to give them rest.

In approximately month and a half, 'Las Aguilas' will play a total of 11 games including Liga MX and CONCACAF Champions League fixtures.

Canadian MLS champions Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps are reportedly interested in signing Club America's Darwin Quintero. 

It's been a while since the former Colombian international has struggled to secure a spot in Club America's starting eleven and a move to the MLS could get him more time on the pitch.

Standing over a free kick from 22 yards out during Toronto FC’s preseason friendly against Club America in Mexico City, Sebastian Giovinco looked up to see a three-man wall, defenders on either post, the goalkeeper stationed dead center and four more players scattered in front of goal to deter any other angles. No matter.

The Atomic Ant rifled one into the top-right corner, giving the defender on that post zero chance (maybe a slim chance of being decapitated). There’s simply no stopping the 31-year-old Italian. 

Club America has issued a statement regarding the latest boneheaded actions of attacker Darwin Quintero after the Colombian international attempted to smash a football at the back of ESPN reporter Marcelino Fernandez’s head during training.

After scoring only three goals in his last 29 appearances for America, it should come as no surprise that the 30-year-old missed the target. Las Aguilas were actively shopping Quintero before the start of the Clausura season, and his latest piece of work isn’t going down well at the club.

For some reason, kicks to the head are becoming increasingly popular in Liga MX. More specifically, Club America players seem to have taken a liking for kicking opponents' heads in diverse circumstances.

After leading the Liga MX Femenil Apertura season with 15 goals in 14 matches, Club America striker Lucero Cuevas is picking up right where she left off in the Clausura. On Monday, America defeated Pachuca 3-2 with Cuevas scoring a brace, including the go-ahead goal in the 48th minute and what would prove to be the match-winner in the 51st.

According to Club America coach Miguel Herrera, the opportunity to land 27-year-old Dutch international and current PSV Eindhoven striker Luuk de Jong “has been laid on the table.” America and Herrera are looking to land an international player to rival Tigres’ Andre-Pierre Gignac (“a player with a bigger name than Gignac,” according to Herrera), and De Jong is the player the club and coach have landed on.

Pablo Aguilar has officially left Club América and "Las águilas" fans are losing their minds. Everyone is wondering how Club América came to even think of allowing arguably their most reliable player to leave the club.

Aguilar is no doubt one of the best defenders in Liga MX. Four years ago, Aguilar joined Club América from Tijuana and proved to be one of the best purchases the club has made in recent times. Now Aguilar is headed back to Tijuana.
