Wonder Coach Jurgen Klopp Is Taking Next Year Off

Jurgen Klopp, widely considered one of the best managers in the world, has said in a statement that he will not manage a team next year, and that he is “going to take a break until further notice.”

"After seven intense and emotional years of real love I think it makes sense to digest the numerous memories before my staff and I take on a new task fresh and full of energy.”

Klopp oversaw one of the most successful periods in Dortmund’s history during his time with the club, and his record has made him one of the most sought after coaches in the world. His decision to take time off from management will undoubtedly disappoint many fans who had hoped that the German would come to their club and guide it to success.

Liverpool have been linked with Klopp for months, as they have turned in one of their worst campaigns in years, and Real Madrid were also seen as a possible destination for Jurgen as soon as the exit of Carlo Ancelotti was announced.

While Klopp gave no indication of how long his break would last, you can bet that, come next Summer, teams around the world will once again vie for his services.
