Minnesota United took care of business against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami on Saturday with a resounding 4-1 victory. The result marks the Herons’ biggest loss when Messi was on the field.
Messi did get on the scoreboard early in the second half, but that was one of the few highlights for Miami.

Minnesota talked the talk and then proceeded to walk all over Miami.
The Loons opened the scoring in the 32nd minute and then exposed the Miami defense again moments before halftime.

In the second half a blitz of two Minnesota goals in the space of two minutes put the game to bed and got the massive crowd at Allianz Field on their feet.

Miami have now lost four of their last five games across all competitions as Messi’s side have hit a serious speed bump. Meanwhile Minnesota are enjoying a fantastic start to the season and sit second in the Western Conference.
