Leicester City confirmed to Goal.com that the Algerian star's account was hacked and he will continue to be a professional soccer player for the foreseeable future. The post announcing his retirement has been removed.
Mahrez has been a staple of the rumor mill since Leicester's Premier League-winning campaign during the 2016-2016 season. He has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool, Roma and others, but has remained at Leicester City all the while. This retirement silliness, though, is taking the rumor mill to a whole new level.
