This international break will mark the first games in charge for new El Tri manager Juan Carlos Osorio. Mexico will play El Salvador and Honduras during this international break, which marks the beginning of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. Osorio held his first training session as Mexico manager Monday.

We'll have to wait and see as to the results, but it seems like everyone (except for Giovani dos Santos, who appears to be the first entrant into Osorio's doghouse) is excited.
"I don't see space for Giovani when Chicharito, Oribe and Raul are in great form," Osorio said in his training press conference. "Also, he isn't 100 percent physically."
Osorio also said during the press conference that Miguel Layun will play right back, where he will compete with Paul Aguilar (eventually, as Aguilar is injured right now) for the starting spot. Presumably, that will mean Jorge Torres Nilo has sewn up the starting spot on the left.
As far as Mexico's goalkeeper situation, Memo Ochoa, Moises Munoz and Alfredo Talavera will compete for the starting spot, although it wouldn't take a huge stretch to imagine 20-year-old FC Dallas playoff hero Jesse Gonzalez competing for that spot in the near future.

Above all, Osorio stressed winning the first round of World Cup qualifiers. Mexico don't have to blow the opposition out, Osorio said, but they do need to win against the (generally weaker than Mexico) other teams in their group.
