Emerson Hyndman left Texas at the age of 15 to join the Fulham youth academy in 2011, but the 22-year-old has yet to really break through with a first team in Britain, having also appeared for Rangers and his current club Bournemouth. But this Hyndman goal vs Levante in a preseason friendly makes a great case for the American to be included in the upcoming Premier League season.
Hyndman, grandson of former FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman, made 28 appearances with Fulham before moving to Bournemouth in 2016. But he’s made just seven appearances for the Cherries and was loaned out to Rangers in Scotland in 2017.
Hyndman performed well in limited action in Scotland, tallying four goals and two assists in 13 league appearances to be named Rangers Young Player of the Year in 2017.
Back with Bournemouth preparing for the upcoming Premier League season, the Hyndman goal vs Levante finished a wonderful team move, with the Texan’s fingerprints all over the buildup.

Hyndman had six touches in the immediate lead up, the last a first-time shot into the bottom corner to open the scoring against the LaLiga club. He also made two spot-on passes to facilitate the play and helped Bournemouth top Levante 4-3.
It remains to be seen if Hyndman has done enough to earn his way into Eddie Howe’s lineup. Hyndman also played in the Cherries’ friendly against Sevilla on Saturday.
The 22-year-old needs to be playing more and some reports had him moving on to Wigan on another loan.
Wherever he ends up for the 2018-19 season, the Hyndman goal vs Levante is evidence of what he can provide a club at the top levels in Europe.
