Christian Pulisic might have a WWE backup career after a great body slam on David de Gea

Christian Pulisic got his first meaningful minutes in the Premier League since April 15 on Thursday during Chelsea’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester United. Other than Pulisic falling on David de Gea there wasn’t too much to report from the American.

Pulisic was brought on as a substitute in the 64th minute for noted Instagram bully and expert at missing chances Mykhailo Mudryk.

Pulisic came on for the final five minutes in Chelsea’s last game vs. Manchester City, but this time around he got about 30 minutes of game time. His big highlight was going for a header, falling on De Gea and getting into a scuffle.

Expert stuff there from Pulisic to really bring the hammer down on the United goalkeeper.

Jokes aside, what is De Gea so mad for? If you’re unable to claim a ball in the air away from Pulisic, who stands at five feet 10 inches, then you deserve a little knock.

De Gea’s shove on Pulisic after the play created a small skirmish as the American tried to let the goalkeeper know he was going for the ball and didn’t body slam the Spaniard on purpose.

Twitter seemed to agree with Pulisic on this one.

American fans who watched the game will love the fight and effort from Pulisic, but please don’t get yourself hurt in a meaningless Chelsea game. The Concacaf Nations League semifinal vs. Mexico is on June 15 and the last thing the USMNT needs is Pulisic picking up an injury.

The score was 2-0 in favor of Manchester United when the American was put into the game and would end 4-1. During his 30 minutes on the field he completed four of his five passes, sent in a dangerous low cross just out of Conor Gallagher’s reach and made plenty of runs that João Félix chose to ignore.

Pulisic did pick up the ball out of United’s net after Félix cut the lead to 4-1 in the 89th minute.

That’s the spirit! It ain’t over till it’s over baby!

Chelsea’s final game of the season is against Newcastle on Sunday. Neither team has anything to play for so for the love of all that’s holy don’t get injured, Pulisic.
