Nike’s Legendary Mercurial Superfly II Boots Inspire Gorgeous New Design

20 years ago, Ronaldo “O Fenômeno” was on top of the footballing world having dominated Europe with both Barcelona and Inter Milan before scoring four goals and adding three assists to help Brazil to the final of the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Every playground footballer wanted to be Ronaldo, and purchasing the Nike Mercurial Superfly II boots was really as close as you could get to replicating a single part of his game.

Now, we’ve come full circle with Neymar dominating Europe with both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain whilst transforming the Brazilian national team into the feared power of old before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

So it’s only fitting that — with the Mercurial Superfly II and Mercurial R9s as inspiration — Neymar should receive his own glorious Mercurial boot with homage to the great striker. The Nike Mercurial Puro Fenomeno will be worn exclusively by Neymar and will be released in limited number for the public.
