MANCHESTER, England - British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe's interest in buying Manchester United has raised the hopes of the club's supporters that their American owners, the Glazer family, might now sell the club and pave the way for a return to glory on the field.

Whether that happens will depend on three key factors: how much they think the club is worth; whether there are potential buyers willing to pay that price; and finally, if the much-criticized Glazers are willing to take the money and leave.

The summer transfer window for the big five European leagues closes on Thursday, Sept. 1. The past few months have seen a handful of Americans make big moves between clubs. Here are all the USMNT transfers summer 2022.

Arsenal has found a new sponsor for the upcoming season after the Gunners announced a partnership between themselves and drink company Prime Hydration on social media.

Prime is a collaborative effort between American content creator Logan Paul and British YouTuber turned music artist KSI. The pair created Prime Hydration in early 2022 and its meteoric rise includes a recent NASCAR sponsorship. Arsenal is the next brand to partner with the famous internet duo, and for KSI, it's “a childhood dream.”

It looks increasingly likely that the NFL's Chicago Bears will leave Soldier Field for a new stadium in Arlington Park, but that hasn't stopped the city and Mayor Lori Lightfoot from unveiling plans for a massive renovation to the 98-year-old facility and the 57-acre Museum Campus it sits on (home to the Shed Aquarium and Field Museum).

The summer 2022 transfer window has seen some major shakeups as some of the biggest names will call a new club home next season. This calls for a top five biggest summer transfers list.

Several things are taken into consideration to define what a “big” transfer means. Prominence, transfer fees, last season’s stats and the clubs that the player is transferring to and from are all taken into consideration.

If the player you wanted to see didn’t make the cut then perhaps they’re on the honorable mentions list at the bottom.

Oh, Canada. Soccer has never looked so promising up north. Both the women's and men's teams have qualified for the World Cup and boast promising young stars like Julia Grosso and Alphonso Davies. Popularity is skyrocketing for a sport which is widely considered to be the fastest growing in Canada. With growth at an all-time high, this is a crucial time for Canada Soccer.

It seems to happen every time the U.S. women’s national team plays in a major tournament. Fans flock to stores online and in person seeking USWNT merch. Almost without fail, Nike, the U.S. Soccer Federation and other outlets quickly run out of stock, never learning from past mistakes to properly prepare for spikes in demand.

The USWNT Players Association launched its own line of USWNT merch on Thursday, taking full advantage of bargaining for their name, image and likeness rights in 2017. 

Luca de la Torre transfer news was announced Thursday night and the 24-year-old is set to make a $2 million transfer to LaLiga club Celta Vigo. Spanish news outlet Marca first reported the American’s move and the club confirmed it on Friday.
