The Level Of Difficulty On This Jamie Vardy Goal Is Unreal

A magnificent Jamie Vardy goal put the Foxes in front early in Leicester City’s match against Tottenham on Tuesday. Less than 13 minutes into the match, Vardy first-timed a lobbed pass over Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris in impressive fashion.

Vardy apparently does not care about level of difficulty. He just wants to score. Vardy entered Tuesday with a five-match scoreless streak and he ended it in style.

The ability required to score with this shot is world-class. Vardy had to track down the pass from Marc Albrighton and, while leaping through the air, provide the perfect touch to dink the ball over Lloris and into the back of the net.

As remarkable as the finish was, the Vardy goal shouldn’t be much of a surprise. The Foxes’ forward has now scored 11 EPL goals against the “Big Six” in England since the start of last season. That’s five more than any other player, though it helps he’s not on a top-six side and thus gets an extra two games against the best.

Leicester added a second brilliant strike when Riyad Mahrez curled in an effort in first-half stoppage time for a 2-0 lead at the break.

The Foxes were running rampant against Spurs in the first half, reminding everyone of how they won the league in 2016. That, or Tottenham was just continuing it’s awful stretch of form.
