Fantasy Premier League Tips Week 19

Hello folks. We got two matchdays over the holiday weekend. Lets get this thing poppin’ like Buddy the elf in the mail room.

3 Wise Men

Marko Arnautovic (West Ham):

Much like the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic was once really bad, but now he’s good.

If the Austrian midfielder can get over a slight calf twang before the visit of the team that puts the “ug” in “struggle”, Newcastle United, Moyes’ preferred boy will have his third huge FPL performance in four weeks.

Jack Wilshere (Arsenal):

Much like the leg lamp in “A Christmas Story”, many of you are probably expecting Jack Wilshere to break. But The Lad has filled in admirably in Arsenal’s midfield for two straight weeks.

He only costs £5.4 because he’s yet to make any FPL impact, but Arsenal vs. Liverpool has all the makings of a high-octane holiday classic. Wilshere gets an assist, maybe even a goal.

Andreas Christensen (Chelsea):

A Chelsea defender available for only £5.6? It’s too good to be true, especially with a match against Sam Allarydyce’s Everton coming up.

Roll with Chelsea attackers at your own risk, but Christensen is a safe bet to headline a clean sheet.

1 Grinch who ruined Christmas

Dele Alli (Tottenham):

How about this — Burnley host Tottenham on Saturday with the Clarets sitting above Spurs in the table! We haven’t been this shocked since all the Whos in Whoville woke up to find the equivalent of a Dele Alli performance under the tree (a steaming pile of rank nothingness).

Sorry Dele, but our heart is now two sizes too small when it comes to plugging you in the starting XI.

1 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Leroy Sane (Manchester City):

Will Man City’s epic 16-game winning streak hit 17 when Bournemouth visit the Etihad on Saturday? Did Jack Skellington make a mistake when kidnapping “the Sandy Claws” and trying to run Christmas himself? The answers are yes.

You have your choice of City midfielders/forwards here, but Leroy Sane looks to be rounding into top form again.
