Paulo Dybala Just Made Cristiano Ronaldo Look Really Good With This Incredible Strike

With Cristiano Ronaldo joining the side, Paulo Dybala’s goal scoring has dried up a bit in Serie A. The Argentine scored 22 goals in 33 league appearances in 2017-18, but had just two in 20 heading into the weekend. We got a not-so-subtle reminder of what the 25-year-old can do when he looks for goal with this incredible Dybala goal vs Frosinone on Friday.

Juventus was never likely to struggle playing at home against Frosinone, 47 points back of Juve in 19th place, even with a Champions League match with Atlético Madrid to look forward to on Wednesday.

So it was no surprise when the Bianconeri took the lead after six minutes.

What was a surprise was the magnificent of the Dybala goal vs Frosinone — and how good he made Ronaldo look with the assist.

Ronaldo held possession outside the Frosinone box before slipping for no apparent reason. He then laid the ball square to Dybala, who took a touch before unleashing a rocket that drove straight into the top right corner from more than 25 yards out.

Let’s watch that again.

The strike was so good it got Ronaldo to celebrate a teammate’s goal, a rare sight from the striker often accused of being self-centered.

Despite Ronaldo joining the club over the summer, Dybala has been a steady contributor for Juventus this season even aside from his goal Friday. He has six assists in Serie A and five goals in five Champions League appearances, including a hat trick against Young Boys

Dybala and Ronaldo played a role in Juventus’ second about 10 minutes later.

The Old Lady made it 2-0 when Dybala whipped in a corner kick, Ronaldo got his head to it and after another touch or two, Leonardo Bonucci karate-kicked the ball over the line.

It’s a bit odd the goal stood considering how high that boot was, but this is Juventus in Serie A, so we weren’t surprised.

Juventus led 2-0 at halftime.

Ronaldo did get in on the scoring in the second half. Dybala and Mario Mandzukic combined on the wing before the latter sent in a low cross for Ronaldo to smash past the goalkeeper. The Juve 34-year-old was subbed out almost immediately after his goal to prepare for the Champions League match on Wednesday.

Finally, because Valentine’s Day was this week, here’s a cute pic of two recently married Juve fans.
