Ronaldo Is Doing A 280-Mile Bike Ride Through The Famous Camino De Santiago Along With His Girlfriend

Brazilian star Ronaldo is currently in the middle of a grueling 280-mile bike ride from Valladolid to the winding roads of the famous Camino de Santiago along with his girlfriend, model Celina Locks.

The epic journey is not a romantic-bonding bucket list trip for the couple but a promise Ronaldo had to fulfill once Real Valladolid got promoted for the LaLiga 2022-23 season a few weeks ago. Ronaldo is the owner of an 82 percent stake in the club and made the pledge one year ago when the team was relegated.

"I promised that if we came back (to LaLiga), I would do the Camino de Santiago," said Ronaldo last Sunday before starting the adventure. "It will be beautiful. I know that I will suffer physically, but it will be an unforgettable experience."

It is worth noting that Ronaldo has a whole team of experts riding along with him – including a mechanic, a videographer and a physical therapist – and that his bike is electric. But, hey! At the end of the day, he is keeping his promise.

Of course, Ronaldo and Celina Locks are documenting the pilgrimage and sharing their progress on social media. So far, we have seen the former striker pedaling across the road and both touching base in the small town of Quiroga, Galicia, where they enjoyed the local architecture and ate at the restaurant Cantón de Bailén.

"Our bodies are feeling heavier," they said. "It is very difficult. There are mountains, we are sore, but here we go."

Although there is no official information, the trip was divided into six stages and should be ending between Wednesday and Thursday this week.
