If you only tuned into the last 10 minutes of the United States men’s national team's 1-1 draw vs. Mexico on Wednesday in the Continental Clásico friendly, then you saved yourself 80 minutes of suffering.

The USMNT made it five games in-a-row without a defeat to their archrivals thanks to a Jesús Ferreira equalizer in the 81st minute.

The United States men’s national team announced the 23-man roster for the inaugural Continental Clásico on Wednesday, April 19. The friendly doesn’t take place during an international window meaning the latest USMNT roster is comprised almost entirely of Major League Soccer players.

The 23-man roster only includes one player from a European club, Sergiño Dest. The American right back has essentially been banished from AC Milan’s starting lineup and the club OK’d the decision for him to leave the club to partake in the friendly.

Veteran United States women’s national team center back Becky Sauerbrunn was celebrated in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday at CITYPARK ahead of the USWNT’s friendly vs. Ireland for reaching 200 international appearances.

She reached the 200-mark last year during the SheBelieves Cup but was honored for reaching the milestone in front of family and a massive home crowd. Tuesday's friendly was her 216th cap for the USWNT.

A terrifying Mal Swanson injury overshadowed the USWNT’s 2-0 victory vs. Ireland in a friendly match at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.

Swanson went down injured twice in the first half. The first came when Swanson collided with goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan after Ireland’s Aofie Mannion shoved Swanson in the back. The star American forward was down for several minutes with what appeared to be a neck injury.

La Selección Mexicana Femenil dio a conocer su lista de convocadas para los duelos que sostendrá ante Chicago Red Stars y Houston Dash en abril, ambos parte de su MexTour W por los Estados Unidos. 

La nómina de Pedro López tiene 23 nombre, entre los cuales se encuentra una que otra sorpresa. Destaca, por ejemplo, el debut de Jazmín Casarez (FC Juárez), así como el regreso de María Sánchez y Diana Ordóñez, quienes estuvieron ausentes en la última convocatoria.

Curiosamente, ambas son jugadoras del Dash, uno de los rivales de la gira.
