Potential new players can be scouted from all over the country at various events. 

Some of these events can include semi pro & pro leagues, youth club & league matches, olympic development programs, and USSF & youth national team events.

The scouted players are then evaluated by USMNT technical staff during events such as training camps, friendlies and official matches.

Once chosen, players are notified at least 15 days in advance of a camp or match. The final roster is then selected 1 week before the match.

There are two periods when clubs can buy and sell players, known as Transfer Windows. 

Many clubs today use software packages such as Transfer Room, allowing them to see players available to purchase, and list players they are willing to sell.

The way two clubs agree to a transfer can vary.

A player will work with their agent and a sporting director/CEO to map out an exit.

If a club is open to selling a player, any team can approach the player with a bid.

Use a glue gun to create grip socks.

Use an eraser to remove dirt and scuffs on your boots.

Wrap athletic tape around your laces to keep them tied. 

Bring your boots into the shower with you to help break them in. Follow this up by stuffing them with newspaper to help dry them out.

Drop a Little Trees air freshner in your bag to get rid of the smell. 

Use a lighter or nail polish to fix the ends of your frayed laces. 

Toss some lemon peels or tea bags in your boots to help remove odors.
