The 2021 NWSL season kicks off Friday. Before the league’s ninth season begins, let’s take a moment to appreciate the quality of NWSL jerseys that will be on display this year, which serve as proof that the league understands how important marketing is and how to take money from my wallet.

No sport is as connected to fashion as soccer; while the constant release of new uniforms can lead to some uninspired designs, most clubs recognize the value of putting out the most eye-catching jerseys. This year, NWSL clubs across the board nailed it with some superb kits.

Major League Soccer, on the 26th anniversary of its first match, has unveiled some pretty slick MLS retro kits. This latest collection has us nostalgic for baggy shirts made from the worst colors ever conceived, not to mention those amazing 1990s-era shootouts.

BERLIN — Manchester United will sport German software firm TeamViewer's logo on their shirts from next season, drawing a line under a deal carmaker Chevrolet which has sponsored them for the past seven years.

The deal seeks to raise the global profile of TeamViewer , a remote connectivity software company that floated in Frankfurt in 2019 and has since expanded internationally.

LONDON — Already in a league of their own when it comes to sustainability in sport, innovative English soccer club Forest Green Rovers will trial a kit made from coffee bean waste on Saturday.

Rovers, owned by 'green energy' entrepreneur Dale Vince, will road test the prototype in their League Two clash against against Colchester United.

The club in leafy Gloucestershire has used a strip made from bamboo for two years, but the brains at kit partner PlayerLayer believe they have found a better alternative.
