The 2015 Clausura final pits eight-seed Santos Laguna against six seed Queretaro. There was a time, a few months ago, when both of these teams were sitting near the bottom of the table, sliding into hopelessness. Then they both caught fire and now one of them is going to win it all.

Both teams favor a fast-paced, counterattacking style, which means we’re in for one hell of a ride. There won’t be very much midfield possession or randomly knocking the ball around in this game, methinks.

After years of speculation, the time appears to finally be near – Ronaldinho is likely heading to the U.S. to play in the MLS this summer.  As the greatest player of the 2000s decade and one of the most widely loved players of all time, Ronaldinho’s impending MLS arrival should create an excitement for the league that meets or exceeds the hysteria created by Ricardo Kaka, Thierry Henry and David Beckham bringing their talents stateside.

Brazilian born legend Ronaldinho Gaucho is at it again. Currently playing in Liga MX for Queretaro FC, he shows off his impressive skills with ease as if he was playing for Barca again. There is simply no stopping him, even at the age of 35.

Ronaldinho fans, you might want to skip this one. This is the most depressing highlight video you will ever see.

It opens with Dinho beating one defender but having the ball taken away from him (he did win a corner), and it gets worse from there. If you like easy ground passes, this is the video for you. In fairness to Ronaldinho, there is one moment of magic, in the form of a vintage Dinho free kick goal.

Ronaldinho has finally named his dream Champion's League squad, and it's a doozy. Every player on the list was considered one of the top players in the world at his peak. We find it pretty hard to argue with Ronaldinho's selections here. The lineup:

Defenders: Cafu, John Terry, Paolo Maldini, Roberto Carlos

Midfielders: Claude Makelele, Frank Lampard, Kaka

Forwards: Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi, Ronaldo (guess which one)

We would hazard a guess that this lineup would destroy everybody.

In 2006, at the age of 15, my love for soccer had a growth spurt. This could be attributed to a lot of things, but in my mind it came down to two: finally playing on a traveling club team with a coach that I liked and teammates I knew, and watching my first skills compilation online:

Ronaldinho is a man who has everything you’d want. He’s won the World Cup, the Ballon d’Or, championships in La Liga, Serie A and the Champions league among other things. Gaúcho has won pretty much everything there is to win in the sport. Someone with similar credentials in his own sport is Lebron James. And wouldn’t you know, the two actually happen to be pals. 

Former Manchester United midfielder Anderson – a.k.a. Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira – was substituted after just 36 minutes of Internacional’s midweek Copa Libertadores 3-1 loss to Bolivia’s The Strongest, requiring oxygen as he gasped for air on the substitutes’ bench high in the mountains of La Paz. It was his second appearance for his new club: he missed a penalty in the first.
