Having Tested Positive For Covid Twice This Week, West Ham’s Moyes Will Coach Sunday (From Home)

West Ham United assistant coach Alan Irvine has confirmed boss David Moyes will still be in charge for Sunday's Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but from home as he is still self-isolating.

Moyes and players Issa Diop and Josh Cullen, had to leave the London Stadium ahead of their League Cup tie against Hull City on Tuesday after they returned positive tests for COVID-19.

Irvine, who took charge against Hull and secured a 5-1 victory, said Moyes will be remotely available to make all the decisions during the match this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur have advanced to the League Cup fourth round via a bye after their match against Leyton Orient was called off due to a number of Orient players testing positive for COVID-19, the Football League (EFL) said on Friday.

Spurs' third-round match against Orient was cancelled on Tuesday, a day after the fourth-tier club revealed the positive tests and closed their Breyer Group Stadium and training ground facilities until further notice.

A report from the English Football Association has determined that no rules were breached and no punishment would be bestowed upon Fleetwood Town FC after an incident with Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa in July.

After Wycombe’s second-leg playoff victory against Fleetwood, Akinfenwa claimed he had been subjected to racial abuse from a representative of the opposition. The 38-year-old striker said in a statement on Twitter he had been called a “fat water buffalo,” which “dehumanized him as a black man.”
