Nike took to Twitter Wednesday to announce the new home kits for the United States Women's National Team. The U.S. women will don these uniforms at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup this summer:

We are only weeks away from the start of the Women's World Cup, and injuries are starting stack up again for the USWNT, with the team’s major concern being Alex Morgan.

A lot of the USWNT team members play professional soccer here in the States and like other athletes, they can run into problems with injuries.

Morgan, who plays for the Portland Thorns, said recently to the Oregonian that she will probably take a few days off to get over her nagging injuries.

The Mexico Women’s National Team have a great chance this summer. They have a great chance to show the world they don’t live in the shadows of their more illustrious neighbors. The United States has been the team to beat over the years. They have shown a dominance of the women’s game that is incomparable, not only regionally but also internationally. Even though this is the case, Mexico has reason to believe they have a chance to take the 2015 Women’s World Cup by storm.

Recently, there have been questions surrounding the coach of the United States Women's National Team, Jill Ellis. Some very prominent people question whether or not Ellis should even be coaching the team, especially after how they struggled earlier this year.

One of those questioning Ellis may be the most famous U.S. women's player outside of Mia Hamm: Michelle Akers, who wondered out loud if Ellis can get the job done:

Solo. Wambach. Morgan. Rapinoe. Rampone. Lloyd. Etcetera. Etcetera. The U.S. women’s World Cup roster is what we all expected, and that’s fine. Canada is just close enough that the team’s few months of turmoil - a lackluster form run, Hope Solo’s suspension - are non-issues.

But these storylines are important as teams step onto the pitches, which still have stupid Blatter-brand turf on them:

It seems like the USWNT has finally gotten back into the swing of things. Last week The Algarve Cup concluded with the US demolishing their competition and winning the whole thing. 

The ladies put to rest any shadow of a doubt about their capabilities with the victory. Defeating France in the final was a major step in the right direction heading into the World Cup.

Just in the nick of time, Hope Solo's return to the USWNT was just what the doctor order as the Americans took the Algarve Cup, beating France 2-0 in the final.

After struggling to a 0-0 tie with Iceland earlier in the tournament, the US took charge early against France with goals from Julie Johnston and Christen Press and then had to hold on for dear life when France made a late charge at the end of the game.

The Algarve Cup will begin on March 4 in Portugal where the US will play in a group with Norway, Switzerland, and Iceland. 

Megan Rapinoe and Christie Rampone are coming back from injuries and did not play against England or France, but both will play in the tournament. 

Goalkeeper Hope Solo was reinstated late last month and has rejoined the roster for the tournament. 

This will be the final big test for the US heading into the World Cup, and the first time fans will be getting a glimpse of its stars on the field together this year.

Hope is back for the Americans literally and figuratively with the reinstatement of Hope Solo to the U.S. Women's National Team.

Solo and her husband were arrested for DUI a few months ago, which lead to Solo being suspended from the team for 30 days by head coach Jill Ellis.
