Leicester City are done and dusted — they’ve been tactically found out, the one-year wonders of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and a defensive backline that’s suddenly had a massive epiphany regarding their own individual shortcomings means that the Foxes are doomed.

Alex Morgan and Lyon relied on their 2-0 first leg victory in Germany to advance to the Champions League semifinals after Wolfsburg won the return leg 1-0. The 2-1 aggregate victory sees them take on the winner of tomorrow’s match between Carli Lloyd’s Manchester City and Fortuna Hjorring.

The Champions League quarterfinal draw took place on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland and has left some very entertaining matchups with the first legs taking place on the 11th-12th of April and the second legs on the 18th-19th of April: 

Sevilla had an opportunity to advance to the quarter-finals of Champions League for the first time ever on Tuesday. Unfortunately, they became a victim of themselves, as wasted chances had them bow out of the knock-out stage via an inferior Leicester squad.

As the next three and a half weeks slowly roll by as we await the quarterfinals of the Champions League a lot of good storylines are going to emerge. Like this one, for instance: aside from the 2015 UCL Final, Barcelona and Juventus don’t play often, in fact, the last competitive before the UCL Final was a match in the 2002/2003 Champions League campaign where Juve won 2-1.

Robert Lewandowski should be considered one of the best players in the world. He should be alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Polish striker has been a dominant force in the Bundesliga for seven years now, and it seems like his performances are only recognized by a very narrow segment of football fans. He does not receive the same sort of recognition that Messi and Ronaldo do on a global scale.
