BUDAPEST — France striker Antoine Griezmann says he would like to see out his playing days in Major League Soccer to realize a long-held desire to live in the United States.

Griezmann, who is set to make his 50th consecutive start for France in Saturday's Euro 2020 game against Hungary, has long been fascinated with life stateside and is a keen basketball fan, often travelling to NBA games when he has time off.

Major League Soccer announced Wednesday that its 2021 All-Star Game will feature the MLS All-Stars against the Liga MX All-Stars on Aug. 25 in Los Angeles.

The match, slated for Banc of California Stadium, will mark the first time the MLS and Liga MX All-Stars have squared off in the All-Star Game format.

Los Angeles FC coach Bob Bradley will coach the MLS team against the Mexico top-division stars.

MLS expansion club Charlotte FC signed Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs.

The 35-year-old left back will join Charlotte in January 2022 ahead of their inaugural season.

Sporting Kansas City scored three goals within 14 minutes in the second half to earn a 3-2 victory over the visiting Houston Dynamo.

The game was played in front of 20,086 frenzied fans in the first full-capacity match since March 2020.

In the 50th minute and trailing 1-0, Gadi Kinda drew a foul to set up a free kick. Gianluca Busio drove the ball from about 28 yards out, over the wall of defenders and off the side post into the goal.

Major League Soccer levied a $2 million fine on Inter Miami on Friday after an investigation found that the second-year team violated the league's salary budget and roster regulations.

MLS also fined Miami managing owner Jorge Mas $250,000 and suspended former sporting director Paul McDonough through the end of the 2022 season. McDonough was fired by Atlanta United on Friday.
