Guardiola In The Face Of Shock Elimination: My Future Is At Bayern

Mon, 20 Apr 2015 - 14:22

Bayern Munich manager pep Guardiola certainly seems to be keeping cool under pressure as he faces the prospect of Champions League elimination tomorrow at 2:45 p.m EST.

One of the very best teams in the world, Bayern find themselves trailing FC Porto 3-1 on aggregate. Because they scored an away goal in the first leg, Bayern only needs to win 2-0 in order to advance, which, given the talent level the club commands, is entirely possible.

Four more are just returning from injury, or have some other problem; Holger Badstuber, Jerome Boateng, Thiago Alcantara, and Philipp Lahm.

Meet Bas Dost: The Most Ruthless Striker In Bundesliga History

Wed, 4 Mar 2015 - 21:07

Let's get hyperbolic: right now, Bas Dost is hotter than the sun. His shooting is so sharp he makes that guy in American Sniper look like a clumsy, fat-fingered fool. He's so god-damn bang-in-form he could score in a nunnery. In fact, Bas Dost is so hot right now he makes Hansel look like an overweight librarian in a mumu.

Juventus vs. Borussia Dortmund: The Best Matchup In The Round Of 16

Fri, 20 Feb 2015 - 18:39

Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. (EST), it all goes down.

Either we are witnessing the greatest fall from grace, or the start of one heck of an epic comeback. Dortmund is currently 15th in the Bundesliga, just a single point ahead of the relegation zone, yet they have been on fire in the Champions League. If Dortmund goes on to win the Champions League only to be demoted domestically, it would be the first time ever in the tournament’s 65 year history.

After A Dooming Loss, These Players Did Something Totally Amazing

Thu, 5 Feb 2015 - 20:09

No one knows what has happened to Borussia Dortmund. The club that was in the Champions League Final only two years ago is now dead last in the Bundesliga, and in serious, serious risk or being relegated. It goes beyond just losing Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski. Even the injuries cannot explain it all.

Dortmund has just been bad — really, really, bad — and their fans have had enough. They are enraged, confused, and looking for answers from a team that has disappointed them over and over again.
