At a time when Madrid thought they could win it all this season, they have walked away with nothing and face losing their biggest star in the process. After the club president, Florentino Perez, confirmed the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, heads began to turn questioning him if he made the right decision. On top of that, Perez’s continuous support for Gareth Bale, who has failed to make a big impact for his worth in money, has angered Cristiano Ronaldo even more. 

Former Barcelona, Madrid and Portuguese legend Luis Figo has spoken out on Sepp Blatter’s reelection as FIFA president. Like most of the community, he has some very strong words against Blatter, and what he has done to the sport. 

“If Mr. Blatter were minimally concerned about football, he would have given up of the reelection. If he has a minimal of decency, he will resign in the next few days.”

“Facing these facts, Mr. Blatter, the principal responsible by FIFA has reached this point, being reelected, that shows exactly how the organization is sick.”

Carlo Ancelotti is heading out of Real Madrid, and Los Blancos’ managerial position is increasingly looking more and more like the Defense Against The Dark Arts position at Hogwarts. With Ancelotti’s exit, Real Madrid have gone through 8 managers since December of 2004, with none lasting longer than 3 years. Rough, but at least it’s not a matter of life and death.

The man likely to start in goal for Barcelona against Juventus in the Champions League final hasn’t even made his league debut for the Catalans yet.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, a 23-year-old German brought in this year from Borussia Monchengladbach, the club he had played for since he was four years old, has started for Barcelona 19 times, including seven cup ties and 12 Champions League matches.

In the midst of celebrations for Barcelona’s 1-0 title winning match over Atletico Madrid, the whole team gathered around their traveling supporters to be serenaded for their 13th La Liga title. Amongst all the celebrations in the days following, there was a face that might not be too familiar to Barca fans. That face is Thomas Vermaelen, who has won his first league title in just one season with Barcelona on loan.

Thanks to some rule-change trickery, Real Madrid will not be among the top eight seeds in the Champions League next year. 

The top seeds, announced by UEFA, are Barcelona, Paris-Saint Germain, Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Bayern Munich, PSV Eindhoven and Benfica.

OK, so we all want to be Lionel Messi's best friend, right? For those of you hoping that someday you can meet Messi and become best friends with him, we have some bad news. He already has one.

At Barcelona, at least, so there's still hope for those among Messi's legion of prospective best friends who think they still have a shot. Dani Alves, though, is going to be a hard man to beat. Messi, in a recent interview with FourFourTwo magazine, said this:
