The 2021 MLS season marks the return of fans to stadiums across the league and, God willing, the death of fake crowd noise. Beginning with the start of the regular season on Friday, April 16, teams across the country will welcome back supporters at grounds with capacity generally limited to somewhere between 10 and 50 percent.

Former France international Thierry Henry said on Friday he will be disabling his social media accounts to protest against the platforms for not taking action over anonymous account holders who are guilty of racism and bullying online.

Former Arsenal and Barcelona striker henry, who has 15 million followers across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, said the platforms needed to tackle these issues with the same effort they put into taking down material that infringes copyright.

With just over a month remaining before the start of the 2021 MLS season, CF Montreal announced Monday it will open its schedule by playing home games at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The move was made because of travel restrictions between the United States and Canada that started at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic last year. Toronto FC already has announced they will open their season with home games at both Orlando and Tampa. The Vancouver Whitecaps are expected to make Sandy, Utah, their temporary home next month.

CF Montreal's plan for Thierry Henry to lead a turnaround in the MLS club's fortunes ended abruptly on Thursday as the former French international stepped down as head coach after one season due to family issues.

The World Cup winner, who guided Montreal to their first playoff birth since 2017, said the last year had proved difficult as the restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic left him unable to see his children.

Montreal's MLS club bid adieu to the Impact nickname Thursday and rebranded as Club de Foot Montreal, or CF Montreal for short.

The club made the announcement and unveiled a new logo during a virtual press conference.
