Carlos Salcedo celebrates Juárez goal by drinking and throwing fan’s beer into stands

Carlos Salcedo is regarded as one of Mexico’s most charismatically controversial players and he just keeps giving examples as to why that is.

In Saturday’s Liga MX game between FC Juárez and Santos Laguna, the Bravos managed to pull off the upset and score three goals past some Laguneros that were too weak to withhold the stallions at full force. They are now sixth in the league.

Aside from Bravos’ solid performance, a moment in the game that stuck out to fans was when Carlos Salcedo decided to celebrate Juarez’s second goal in a way that only the Mexican center back knows how.

Carlos Salcedo beer celebration

When the players were celebrating next to the stands after they went 2-1 ahead of Santos in the 61st minute, in the midst of all the adrenaline 'El Titán' approached the stands, stuck his hand out and asked a fan for his cup of beer so he could drink it.

The former Atlanta United player grabbed the fan's beer and took a sip, only to chuck it back to the fan that gave him the cup. What a waste of a perfectly overpriced full cup of an alcoholic beverage.

The Mexican ended up completing the game, helping Juárez to their third victory in six games in the Clausura (their best start to a season since we can remember). If you're unfamiliar with Liga MX, just know that Salcedo's celebration is probably the most odd thing he's done since releasing a 2016 Bad Bunny-esque track named "Titán" earlier this year. We're seriously debating whether he's a better soccer player or rapper in 2023.
