Meet 'Ronaldog', The Pooch That's Better Than Cristiano

Alfie, better known as 'Ronaldog', is an untrained, naturally brilliant footballing dog that is capable of performing keepie uppies and dribbling at a blistering pace, much like his namesake Ronaldo. To put it simply, his game isn't ruff at all. He's almost Ronaldo's doggleganger.

In fact, Ronaldog has every reason for tail wagging, he's being scouted by professional clubs in England.

His skills were first noticed by the Dogs Trust charity, the largest charity for rehoming dogs in the UK. Ronaldog has recently been adopted by the Simpkins family from Cheltenham. His skills have subsequently attracted the attention of local Cheltenham Town F.C. manager Gary Johnson who said, “Great player. Whoever released him must be barking mad.”

Here's the video of Ronaldog that will have you grrrinning in no time.

Johnson’s attempts to sign the pooch have been disrupted by the "dogmatic” English Football Association, who claim that anything on four legs constitutes two players rather than one. If the ref-fur-ee is okay with it, I say let Ronaldog play.

Johnson has also recommend the canine to his son Lee, who manages Championship side Bristol City.

The BBC have also considered renaming the dog “David Barkham”, “Spaniel Sturridge”, “John Terrier” or “Didier Dogba”. However, Ralfie looks set to carry the moniker 'Ronaldog' for the rest of his footie playing days.

Oh, snap. This dog is pawsitively pawesome.
