Hirving Lozano Agrees To Deal With PSV Eindhoven Through Summer Of 2023

Hirving Lozano, who’s currently on international duty with Mexico at the FIFA Confederations Cup, has agreed to a contract with PSV Eindhoven through the 2022-23 season. After recently visiting Eindhoven in the Netherlands, PSV confirmed via their official Twitter account that Lozano had agreed to terms with the club.

The 21-year-old winger now links up with compatriot Andres Guardado, who serves as PSV’s vice-captain. El Tri defender Hector Moreno was also on the books at PSV for the last two seasons, but he completed a transfer to AS Roma on June 13 after an impressive campaign.

PSV finished the 2016-17 season in third in the Eredivisie, six points behind champions Feyenoord. Their finish sees them placed in the 2017-18 Europa League third qualifying round, and the 23-time Dutch champions will look to regain their place among Europe's elite by bolstering their attack with the addition of the electrifying Mexican winger.

Lozano’s form with Pachuca — he won the Golden Boot in the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League and helped his side defeat Tigres in the final — saw him linked with both Manchester United and Manchester City.

But in the end, Lozano opted to continue his development at a side that’s played a massive role in furthering the careers of players like Memphis Depay, Georginio Wijnaldum, Kevin Strootman, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben, Ronaldo and Romario.

Along with Guardado and Moreno, PSV has also featured Mexican internationals Francisco Javier Rodriguez and Carlos Salcido.
