Christian Pulisic scores in third-straight game for AC Milan with lovely finish in Europa League

Christian Pulisic opened the scoring in AC Milan’s 3-1 victory against Slavia Praha in the Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday. Milan advanced to the quarterfinals 7-3 on aggregate with Pulisic scoring two of the goals in the tie.

The Pulisic goal vs Slavia Praha on Thursday came in the first half when Rafael Leão found the American open near top of the box. Pulisic was composed, evaded a defender and tucked away the finish into the bottom corner.

This was Pulisic's third goal in Milan's previous three games. He scored against Slavia in the first leg, netted the winner against Empoli on Sunday and scored again vs. Slavia on Thursday.

Leão also assisted Pulisic in the first leg against Slavia Praha a week prior.

Pulisic returned the favor and assisted Leão in first half stoppage time. Pulisic found the Portuguese star with a switch of the field and then Leão smashed it into the upper 90. What a goal.

Pulisic's goal brings his tally to 11 this season. That ties the most goals he’s scored in a single season which came in the 2019-20 campaign with Chelsea and his iconic “lockdown era.”

His latest assist to Leão is his eighth of the season. He’ll need two more assists to tie his record in a single season which also came in 2019-20.

American fans will be on the edge of their seats to see him play for the USMNT next Thursday vs. Jamaica in the Concacaf Nations League. Pulisic is in the best form of his career.

The move from Chelsea to Milan last summer has 100% paid off and then some.

Milan have one more game before the international break. The Rossoneri will face Verona in Serie A on Sunday.
