Chicharito Scores For Leverkusen, Continues Run Of Good Form

Chicharito is on fire. We repeat: CHICHARITO IS ON FIRE.

Javier Hernandez scored against Wolfsburg Saturday, making four goals in six games for the Mexican Bayer Leverkusen striker.

Hernandez scored a brace in Leverkusen's last Champions League tie aganst Roma, a goal that weekend in the Bundesliga, another brace in the German Cup and a goal Satuday against Wolfsburg.

New Mexico National Team coach Juan Carlos Osorio has got to be pretty pleased with how Hernandez is playing. It bodes well for Mexico that Hernandez is in such fine form given that Mexico's World Cup qualifying campaign kicks off at the next international break. It would be mighty embarassing if Mexico qualified for the Confederations Cup but not for the Russia 2018 World Cup. In the form he's in, though, Hernandez could probably beat Mexico's qualification group all by himself.

Chicharito After Manchester United

It's clear he needed a change of scenery to return to form, and the move from Manchester United appears to have been a good decision for both Hernandez and Bayer Leverkusen.

We're a long way from these days, is what we're saying.
