Last season saw Mohamed Salah crack the 30-goal mark and steer Liverpool to a fourth place finish, as well as the Champions League final. He had already had a taste of Premier League action before as he was on the books at Chelsea but rarely got a proper look in at the club. He landed at Fiorentina and then Roma before making his return to the EPL last season. Boy did he return in some style.
And he’s going to do it all over again.

You might say that Salah will have a poor second season now that players and managers know his game, but you probably said that about Sergio Aguero, Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane after they had their first season of plundering goals left, right and center.
Here are five reasons as to why Salah will score more goals than anyone else, and probably more goals than Huddersfield Town.
EPL Golden Boot Predictions 2018-19
#1: Liverpool have somehow gotten even better in the offseason. Fabinho and Naby Keita come into the midfield to add some extra energy and steel, while the front three stays intact. Some fans will argue that no Coutinho means no creativity, but Salah still scored bags full even after Coutinho was shipped off to Barcelona.
#2: His closest competitor will have a longer slump than usual. Harry Kane reached 30 goals last season, but is also notorious for taking a few games to find his scoring boots. Coming off a long World Cup campaign with England, Kane will take even longer to get back to peak fitness. Tottenham also had plenty of other players at the World Cup, and they too will take some time to find their feet again.
#3: Guardiola will teach Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero how to share like children. Manchester City has the luxury of having two world-class strikers at its disposal, but the way that Pep plays is that only one of them can occupy the striker position. Aguero scored 21 goals last season while Jesus scored 13. A good return for both, but Pep needs to keep both of these guys happy so he will need to rotate the pair.
#4: Mourinho’s third season syndrome will negatively impact Romelu Lukaku. Mourinho will be out of a job by Christmas, and Lukaku will have to work with a potentially new style of play that might not suit him. Granted, Lukaku didn’t crack the 20-goal mark last season, but he is the focal point of Manchester United’s attack.
#5: Arsenal will struggle to get firing this season, and that means Aubameyang will not get more than 20 goals. He’s a top player, but there is no way that he dethrones Mo Salah of his Golden Boot.
