Trinity Rodman scores in her return as USWNT defeat Brazil 2-0 in rematch of Gold Medal game

Trinity Rodman made her first appearance for the United States women’s national team since last summer’s Paris Olympics and marked her return with a goal just five minutes into the USWNT’s 2-0 victory vs. Brazil on Saturday at SoFi Stadium.

The Rodman goal vs Brazil saw the “Triple Espresso” member score with a composed finish from close range following a perfect ball from Alyssa Thompson.

USMNT still ranked above Mexico in FIFA rankings despite Nations League woes

The United States men’s team are better than Mexico as of April 2025… according to FIFA. In the latest April FIFA rankings the USMNT remain the 16th best team in the world with Mexico one spot behind.

OFFICIAL: The United States will host the 2031 Women’s World Cup

The United States will be the host nation for the 2031 Women's World Cup, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said on Thursday.

Infantino also announced that the 2035 global soccer competition will take place in the United Kingdom.

The U.S. submitted the only bid for 2031, while the joint bid from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland was the only "valid" bid for 2035, Infantino told the UEFA Congress in Belgrade, Serbia.

FIFA’s Gianni Infantino promises the 2026 World Cup will ‘be like 104 Super Bowls in a month’

FIFA president Gianni Infantino is building the hype around next year’s World Cup promising that the tournament will be equivalent to “104 Super Bowls” in a month.

The expanded 48-team tournament will be the biggest World Cup in history. In the previous 32-team editions there were a total of 64 games played. In 2026 there will be 104 different games played in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Infantino appeared on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” and explained how the viewership numbers of the World Cup will be that of “104 Super Bowls.”

USWNT set to host Canada on July 2 in Washington D.C. in friendly match

The top-ranked United States women's national soccer team will face long-time rivals Canada in Washington, D.C. for the Continental Clasico on July 2.

The Olympic champions have played Canada more than any other opponents and beat them in a penalty shootout in both of their previous two meetings last year, the CONCACAF W Gold Cup semi-final and the SheBelieves Cup championship match.

The meeting, the 67th between the two teams, will close out a three-match window for the United States, who are also playing Ireland in a pair of friendlies in late June.

Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a torn ACL during Sunday’s Concacaf Nations League third-place match vs. the United States. The Canadian’s personal team has pointed the blame at national team coach Jesse Marsch.

Nedal Huoseh, Davies’ agent, put out a scathing statement directed at Marsch claiming the American coach pressured Davies into playing the third-place game despite not being fully fit.

RIO DE JANEIRO — Brazil's forward Raphinha has spiced up their highly-anticipated World Cup qualifying clash away to Argentina on Tuesday by guaranteeing he will score and suggesting the match between the bitter rivals will become more physical than it should be.

"We'll beat them up... Absolutely! Beat them up! On the pitch and off the pitch if we have to," Raphinha said in an interview on "Romario TV" with the Brazilian great.

"For sure I'm going to (score a goal against Argentina). I'm going in with everything I've got..."
