Watch: Brenden Aaronson scores late equalizer then misses golden chance to win the game

United States men’s national team and Leeds United forward Brenden Aaronson had himself a day in the EFL Championship opening weekend on Saturday. The American scored a 95th minute equalizer to draw Leeds level at 3-3 with Portsmouth.

Unfortunately for Aaronson he’ll likely remember the game more for the wasted opportunity to win the game that came moments later.

Aaronson was brought on as a substitute in the 72nd minute with the score tied at 2-2. It looked like the opening game would end in disaster for Leeds when Portsmouth scored in the 92nd minute to take the lead.

Kuwait club furious after being tricked into playing fake Egyptian team full of amateur players

Kuwaiti Premier League club Kazma were delighted to get a 7-1 friendly victory over Egyptian opponents Telephonat Beni Suef — until they discovered that their rivals in the match were a group of amateur players unconnected with the Egyptian side.

Organizers of the game at Kazma's training camp in the Egyptian city of Alexandria apologized, saying they had been deceived into thinking the rival team represented the Beni Suef side, who play in Egypt's third tier.

Gregg Berhalter receives criticism for his ‘1-1’ message to USMNT prior to Uruguay free kick

One of the big talking points following the United States men’s national team’s 1-0 loss to Uruguay was the Gregg Berhalter 1-1 gesture to his players shortly before conceding.

Prior to Uruguay’s goal the USMNT had been given a lifeline from the other Group C game as Bolivia scored against Panama to make the score 1-1. If that game were to remain a draw and the USMNT tied Uruguay, the U.S. would advance to the knockout stage.

Watch: Daniel Sturridge is all of us having to listen to Alexi Lalas talk on FOX

The Daniel Sturridge Alexi Lalas clip from FOX’s coverage of England vs. Denmark is absolute gold.

Sturridge is part of FOX’s coverage of Euro 2024, and you actually see the regret in his eyes on TV as he’s forced to sit next to Lalas. If there’s one thing most American fans can agree on it’s that listening to Lalas for too long can drive a person insane.

WHY?! — Dutch manager Ronald Koeman caught eating his own boogers in Poland-Netherlands

Koeman is going band-for-band with Joachim Löw. And not exactly for their managerial skills.

The Netherlands won their first three points after coming back and defeating Poland 2-1 in the first match of Group D on Sunday.

Poland’s Adam Bursa opened the scoring in the first 15 minutes of the game, with the Netherlands turning the game around through Cody Gakpo and the clutch-substitute Wout Weghorst just seven minutes before the end of the match.

FOX’s ‘Summer of Soccer’ begins with bass fishing instead of showing Switzerland vs. Hungary

FOX is broadcasting this summer’s European Championship and Copa América, bragging about showing the “Summer of Soccer.” Too bad they didn’t show literally the second game of the Euros.

American fans woke up Saturday morning expecting to tune into Group A’s second match between Switzerland and Hungary. Little did fans realize that the game was streaming exclusively on Fubo.

That’s right. FOX decided there just wasn’t any room on Fox, Fox Sports 1 or Fox Sports 2 to show the SECOND GAME OF THE EUROS.
