Conceding two olimpico goals in the space of two weeks… only Manchester United.
Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated Manchester United in yet another lackluster display from Rúben Amorim’s men, with the relegation-fighting club keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 Boxing Day win at home aganst the Red Devils.
This most-recent defeat was Manchester United’s fourth loss in their last five Premier League games, with captain Bruno Fernandes earning a red card in the opening minutes of the second half after receiving a second yellow.

The Portuguese’s early send off ultimately sent Wolves into the attack, with their opening goal at Molineux Stadium being perhaps the best in this year’s Boxing Day match day.

Brazilian attacker Matheus Cunha whipped in a beautiful right-footed cross from a corner, with neither side claiming the ball as it was in the air, leaving a hesitant André Onana a mere spectator to the opening goal.

This is incredibly the second olimpico goal that United have conceded in the space of a week, with Tottenham’s Son Heung-min also scoring from a corner in Spurs’ 4-3 EFL Cup win over the Red Devils.
Cunha’s worldie shook United’s bench, with Amorim using all of his substitutions in their effort to tie the game.
The decider wouldn’t come until the last play of the game when a defenseless United back line would leave Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan in a 2v1 counter attack, with Hwang putting away perhaps one of the easiest goals of his career.
