Real Madrid Suffers Hack On Its Website With Fake Medical Report Of Rodrygo

Real Madrid is investigating a hacking of its official accounts after a fake medical report for Brazilian winger Rodrygo was published on the club's website and Twitter on Tuesday morning.

"Following tests carried out on our player Rodrygo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury with tendon involvement in the right femoral biceps," the medical statement published on the club's website read.

The news turned on alarm bells in Madrid ahead of the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Atalanta. On Monday, it became known that Eden Hazard will miss the match against the Italians after suffering a new injury and Rodrygo was tipped as one of the candidates to lead the attack alongside Karim Benzema in his absence.

The Brazilian was thought to be out for sure after seeing the medical report, but the club soon reacted to report that his accounts had been hacked and that Rodrygo will be available to play against Atalanta.

The medical report of Rodrygo Goes was signed by a supposed editor, when Madrid never signs this type of statement, and the photo was signed by a photographer whose identity is not real. In addition, as could be seen in the photographs before they were deleted, the appearance was different from other medical reports.

The social media department quickly removed all the fake links and the club confirmed that it has opened an investigation to find out the origin of the nonsense attack.
