LeBron James of Soccer Christian Pulisic named Serie A Player of the Month

United States men’s national team forward Christian Pulisic has put his dogdays of Chelsea behind him and is now one of the brightest stars in Serie A being named December’s Player of the Month.

Pulisic churned out quality performances for Milan throughout the month and tallied two goals and two assists. The 25-year-old provided a goal contribution in four of Milan’s five league games in December.

He’s the first American player to ever win the award.

Last season at Chelsea Pulisic only recorded one goal and two assists in a frustrating season that saw him rarely starting and often playing out of position.

He’s a new player for the Rossoneri in the 2023-24 campaign and has already tallied seven goals and six assists across all competitions.

Pulisic’s two goals in December included his best of the season so far vs. Frosinone and a game-winner against Sassuolo.

Here’s a look at his four Serie A goal contributions in December. (The goal from Tijjani Reijnders was assisted by Pulisic.)

Up next for Pulisic and Milan will be hosting Roma at San Siro on Sunday. Roma manager José Mourinho will be serving a red card suspension after being sent off vs. Atalanta.
