He's the truth, folks.
16-year-old Mexican phenom, Gilberto Mora, continues to light up the soccer world, etching his name further into the Concacaf history books with a dazzling brace against LA Galaxy in Thursday night's 2025 Leagues Cup clash at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Despite Club Tijuana’s eventual 5-2 loss to the reigning MLS Cup champions, Mora was undeniably the standout performer, becoming the youngest player to ever score in the tournament. Twice.

Mora is coming off an incredible summer with El Tri, in which he became the youngest player to ever start and win a senior international final after Mexico defeated the USMNT 2-1 in the 2025 Gold Cup final.
His momentum carried into a standout MLS All-Star Game performance, where he added a goal to his growing résumé to also become the youngest goalscorer in the tournament.
Mora and Tijuana continue their Leagues Cup this weekend when they face the Colorado Rapids at DSG Park on Sunday at 9:30 pm EST.
