The United States men’s national team secured a 1-0 victory against the Reggae Boyz in Kingston, Jamaica, on Thursday in what can only be described as a Concacafy match.

Thursday’s Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal leg 1 saw several skirmishes, a field that looked more like a rug going through a blender, Jamaica having their own band/cheerleaders, a red card, 90 minutes of sloppy play and one cameraman who got bored during the game.

Sounds about Concacaf.

Watch: College announcer climaxes as Stanford score game-winning midfield buzzer-beater

A play-by-play announcer had an all-time reaction on Wednesday when Stanford’s men’s soccer team defeated Notre Dame 3-2 with a goal from midfield and one second left on the clock.

The time in college soccer isn’t like the pros as the clock counts down and the game ends when time expires. This means that buzzer-beaters are possible on the pitch.

South America takes their soccer incredibly seriously. Look no further than Monday’s derby match between Corinthians and Palmeiras where the home fans threw a severed pig’s head onto the field while Palmeiras were taking a corner kick.

The heated rivalry between the Brazilian clubs is no joke. How someone managed to smuggle in a pig’s head is beyond us, but the disgusting object was lobbed onto the field in the 29th minute.

Christian Pulisic’s second season in Italy is off to a flying start with goals and assists basically every game. The American is impressing off the field too as he demonstrated his Italian during an interview following AC Milan’s win vs. Club Brugge. So, how many languages does Pulisic speak?

Italian is Pulisic’s latest addition to his language collection. He obviously speaks English, knows German from his time with Borussia Dortmund and is said to have decent Spanish.

Four languages for an American player is pretty solid if you ask us.
