Czech FA launch investigation after brutal brawl on field between fans following Czech Cup final

PRAGUE — The Czech football association said on Thursday it had launched an investigation following Sparta Prague's 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Czech Cup final after supporters from both sides fought with each other on the pitch after the final whistle.

The Czech FA said it would take into account information from both clubs as well as the police, who eventually dispersed the dozens of supporters, many wearing hoods covering their faces, who stormed the pitch.

The napkin on which Barcelona promised to sign Lionel Messi when he was a 13-year-old has been sold for $969,000, auction house Bonhams said on Friday.

The napkin was signed in December, 2000 by Barca's former sporting director Carles Rexach and transfer advisor Josep Minguella along with Argentine agent Horacio Gaggioli over lunch at a tennis club.
