Last Sunday’s match between Paraguayan clubs Olimpia and Guarani began in a rather unusual way. Fans of Olimpia broke into their rival Guarani’s clubhouse before kickoff, stealing their trophies and parading them around the stands.
After the thieving fans had a laugh and celebrated, they through them onto the field in a mocking fashion. The trophies took some damage after being in the hands of rival fans, but were soon collected by a staff member on the pitch.
Despite all of Olimpia’s efforts to unnerve Guarani, the fans had to watch their club suffer a 1-0 loss.
