The annual award for the best soccer player in the world is called the Ballon d’Or. The fan-favorite best flop of the year isn’t an official award; however the people refer to it as the “Fallon d’Floor.”
The 2024 calendar year saw some incredible flops from the biggest names. A litany of players careened their bodies toward the Earth in hopes to persuade a referee to bring a whistle to their lips.
There can only be one winner of the prestigious, and not real award. Reddit user Faccio schifo compiled nearly six and a half minutes of 2024’s greatest flops. We’ve reviewed the footage and found several standouts.

5. Jakub Bartosz (0:47)
Don’t you hate it when you get punched in the face and the pain has a three-second delay? That’s what happened to poor Bartosz back in February. We love how he complained to the ref and then went to the ground.
4. Vinicius Jr. (4:54)
Vini Jr. was robbed of the Ballon d’Or according to his fans. We’ll see how much his fans back him to win the Fallon d’Floor. Vinicius even submitted two entries to win this time!
3. Pawel Dawidowicz (3:08)
The Superman dive is a dying breed of flop, however Dawidowicz is bringing it back in style. Anyone can fall to the ground and roll around, but only the true floppers get some airtime before reentering the atmosphere and crash landing.
2. Robert Lewandowski (0:20)
Robert Lewandowski is one of the best in the business. Only a true mastermind like him could hit an opponent and still make it seem like he was the one assaulted. Brilliant stuff from the Barcelona man.
1. Van Truong Nguyen (2:10)
This is the clear winner for us at The18. We had been scouting Van Truong Nguyen ever since he displayed his theatrical talent back in May. His scream as he fell, the clutching of the chest and getting his opponent booked are all tell-tale signs of a winner.
