On Friday, Aug. 5, you'll be doing yourself a favor by turning your TV to ESPN2 and casually checking in from time to time to see what sort of madness is being broadcast now as "ESPN8: The Ocho" takes over for 24 hours of continuous programming — "If it's almost a sport, we've got it here."
Dodgeball (the origin of ESPN The Ocho), Corgi races, pickleball, bed racing, air guitar, Microsoft Excel battles, paper airplanes, climbing slippery stairs, electric scooter racing — The Ocho is going to be bringing it to you live from two venues in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
There's also a time slot for Teqball — one of the fastest growing sports in the world and now a common training tool used by the biggest clubs across Europe. The game's creators want to see it in the Olympics some day, but The Ocho is a fine place to start.

I was also surprised to learn that quidditch has rebranded itself as quadball (they're clearly targeting more Cedric Diggorys and fewer Ron Weasleys).
There's also an event that pairs celebrities with American Cornhole League (ACL) professionals in a competition called "SuperHole." The celebrities include Jay Cutler, Doug Flutie and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.
