Zinedine Zidane Says He Always Kept A Cool Head As A Player

Zinedine Zidane'sReal Madrid squad just advanced in the Champions League after it looked like all was lost, so he can maybe be forgiven if he said some outlandish sh** following the game.

From ESPNFC:

Zinedine Zidane said he was keeping a level head after Real Madrid rallied to defeat Wolfsburg in the Champions League, something he also claimed -- a little disingenuously -- to have done as a player.

Oh, come on, he can't seriously have claimed to have always kept a level head as a player, right? This is just the press taking things out of context and pumping them up to drive traffic, right? This man remembers the soccer moment he is (rightly or wrongly) most remembered for, when he head-butted Italian defender Marco Materazzi in the 2006 World Cup final, right?

Surely the thing Zidane said wasn't too outlandish, right?

From the same ESPNFC article:

"I am not worried about what might happen, but focus on what we can do each day to improve.

"There can be difficult moments, but you must be relaxed when that happens. You should not go crazy, as anything can happen in football. I never lost my head as a player, and will never do so as a coach.

Zinedine, buddy, you can't be serious here. Do you not remember this?

Because we do. And we're not going to let you forget it.
