The United States men’s national team roster for two Concacaf Nations League games against Trinidad and Tobago was revealed on Thursday and fans will have one big question. Why is Pulisic not playing vs Trinidad and Tobago?
Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah are U.S. head coach Gregg Berhalter’s preferred starting wingers, however neither were included in the latest roster.
This is because the attacking pair are both recovering from hamstring injuries.
Why is Pulisic not playing vs Trinidad and Tobago?
The USMNT and AC Milan star will miss out on action due to a hamstring injury. The moment of injury took place on Tuesday, Nov. 7 during a Champions League game against PSG.

Milan stated that an MRI revealed no serious damage to the muscle, and it was likely a cramp. Keeping Pulisic off the latest USMNT roster is likely a precaution to give him two weeks of recovery before his next Milan game.
Weah’s injury happened during Juventus’ Serie A match vs. Hellas Verona on Oct. 28. The American was substituted at halftime after experiencing muscle discomfort. It’s unclear how soon Weah will return to action.
The players in charge of replacing Pulisic and Weah will be between Brenden Aaronson, Alex Zendejas and Kevin Paredes. Here’s a look at the rest of the USMNT roster.

Brenden’s brother, Paxten, was also called up for the Trinidad games.
The two-leg Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal against Trinidad and Tobago are on Thursday, Nov. 16 in Austin, Texas, and Monday, Nov. 20 in Trinidad and Tobago.
The winner of the two-leg tie will automatically qualify for the 2024 Copa América next summer.
