The Whole Stadium Saw This Keeper Mess Up, But The Referee Somehow Didn’t

Chelsea FC are no strangers to controversy and accusations of foul play, whether it's kicking ball boys, wasting time, anything Diego Costa does, racist fans...we could go on forever. Yet in their game against Norwich, Gary Cahill played a back pass to Courtois who picked it up so blatantly, it defies belief.

Needless to say, upon the viewing of such lunacy, our synapses literally burned out, leaving us babbling incoherently and banging our heads against one another. We also just really want to see an indirect free kick inside the box. It's been a really long time since we've seen that.

Despite the fact that even our favorite soccer-hater, Ann Coulter, could have seen that that was illegal, Norwich were only one down at the time. A free kick could potentially have given them a lifeline going into half-time. As a club fighting to avoid the drop, they need every lifeline they can get. Unfortunately, referee Lee Mason apparently hasn't brushed up on his back pass rules for a while.

If that wasn't bad enough for Norwich, Diego Costa's goal was clearly offside as well.

Is there ever a Chelsea game that doesn't have some amount of controversy in it? Seriously. That's a serious question. Although, quick word to Norwich fans. Yes, the referee did kind of screw you over, but you really should be blaming this man for your loss.
