Neymar May Or May Not Have Had Talks With Real Madrid

Neymar has been making all sorts of headlines recently, which in and of itself is not unusual. He's one of the most famous soccer players in the world. It would be weird if Neymar wasn't making headlines.

The headlines that Neymar is generating at this particular moment, though, are quite interesting, as it seems half of them are reporting that he had talks with Real Madrid regarding a possible move. The other half are, obviously, reporting that hell will freeze over before the young Brazilian engages in such talks with Los Blancos.

So which is it? Reports surfaced not too long ago about the alleged meeting, which Neymar's father and representatives have vehemently denied. Details of the alleged meeting seem few and far between, except for the reported nugget that the alleged meeting took place in the hotel everyone was staying at for the Ballon d'Or gala.

On one hand, there are only a few clubs with enough cash to even think about luring the forward, who finished third in the Ballon d;Or voting away from the Blaugrana, and Real Madrid is probably at the top of that list.

On the other hand, leaving a club that has allowed you to thrive as much as you have and pays you an absurd amount of money strikes us as a silly idea.

On the other other hand, it's only a meeting. What harm could come from one little meeting?

We predict that the truth of the matter won't be revealed unless Neymar actually does plan to leave Barcelona, and we are reserving judgment until that happens, if it does happen.

Until then, all news outlets can do is wildly speculate, which it seems like everyone was doing to begin with concerning this story.
