He Plays For The Leaders Of The EPL, But Christian Fuchs Has NFL Dreams

We'll give Leicester City left back Christian Fuchs this: he's ballsy. The 29-year-old plays for the Premier League leaders, and has decided that after he retires from being a professional athlete, he wants to become a professional athlete.

Per Sky Sports, Fuchs wants to give American football a shot after his legs get too old and weary to carry him around a soccer field. He would be a kicker, obviously:

“Depending on the managers in the NFL. If they want a footballer in their team but I am very much up for it.

‘I know I can kick 60 yards or so or 65 yards field goal. Let’s see. Dreams can come true you know if you don’t dream you won’t reach anything.”

Oh for Fuchs sake. First of all, Christian, they're "coaches" in the NFL, not "managers." That's an important distinction you're going to need to make if you're going to avoid locker-room wedgies.

Also, there's a big difference between being able to kick a ball 60-65 yards and being able to kick a 60-65-yeard field goal. Most professional soccer players could manage the former. Few could do the latter. For one, the ball is different. For two, some of the largest, most athletic human beings on Earth are coming to try and take your fool soccer player head off.

We do admire his confidence, however misplaced it may be. It'll serve him well in the hyper-mach world of the NFL should he decide to actually follow through with this plan.

No Fuchs given. Not a single one.
