According to media reports, the NFL has contributed $12.8 million toward Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium.

The initial payment will  likely go towards custom-tailoring the 61,000-seat stadium for hosting NFL games. Tottenham had agreed to a 10-year deal that allows the NFL to host a minimum of two games per season at the stadium, which is not expected to open until the start of the 2018-19 season.

LAFC are planning on opening their Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles in time for their inaugural 2018 MLS season. These are the latest renderings and they are lush. 

The framing of downtown Los Angeles in one corner is surreal, the pitchside seats would be an insanely awesome experience and it all has the feel of an incredibly high end Copacabana beach resort. There are swimming pools.

With the news of Mexico, Canada and the United States officially announcing a joint bid to host the 2026 World Cup, it seems likely that other countries will follow suit. The 48-team field will require an additional 16 games, bringing the tournament’s total to 80. Here’s a list of some countries that might look to share the responsibilities of hosting additional players, media members and fans. 

#1. Uruguay and Argentina

Year-long speculation over whether CONCACAF’s bid for the 2026 World Cup, which will almost certainly be awarded to the region, would become a joint bid by the United States, Mexico and Canada has officially been confirmed today.

The USA, Mexico and Canada have reportedly agreed to submit a joint bid for the 2026 World Cup at the CONCACAF conference this weekend.

According to Manchester United, the club boasts 659 million followers worldwide. Of that number, 109,000 international visitors make the journey to Old Trafford every year to see their beloved Red Devils play according to the Office for National Statistics.
